The AAT-chicks have certainly been hard at work since I brought them home. We've already visited several homes and school doing education and some practice-therapy. They have been well received all around, and the kids are absolutely fascinated with them. Despite being a very common farm animal, most children in urban areas will never get to experience a chicken, let alone hold a baby chick.
We've had some great positive feedback so far, and the chicks make the kids feel happy, special and make them laugh. I'm still booking private sessions and community sessions for the spring, so pass the word! The silkies have been probably my best little helpers, I might have to get some more for my therapy projects. In other news, eggs are still doing well in the incubators after day 7, and day 21 is right around the corner, I had to cull a few non-developing eggs, but otherwise, its all good!
